Spiritual Growth This Week
Hidden Figures In
The Episcopal Church
Two of our recent grads from our 2020 Confirmation Class, Livi Stites and Louella Whitaker, gave a presentation on Pauli Murray, the first Black female/transgender Episcopal priest at the Adult Forum this past Sunday. Job well done!
Virtual Lenten
Scavenger Hunt
We're doing a Virtual Scavenger Hunt this Lent! We'll be asking questions about St. Paul's connection with Standing Rock and Indigenous Nations. Watch the video for each week's clue and submit your answer via the submission form. All answers will be revealed during the Digital Lenten Retreat on Sunday Nights. Whoever has the most correct answers will receive a prize!
Digital Lenten
Family Retreat

Looking for a way to continue learning about our relationship with Indigenous Nations after our outdoor Lenten Family Journey & Hike? Join us on Sunday nights from 5-5:30PM to discover more about indigenous spiritual practices. There is an optional short prayer service based on materials developed by indigenous Episcopalians afterwards.

Our retreat leader will be Mother LaClaire Atkins, who is an ordained Episcopal priest and member of the Eastern-band Cherokee.
Community News
Virtual Pet Show
We're currently judging the various entries and getting ready to award prizes. Join us at the Virtual St. Patrick's Day Party where we will announce the results!
St. Patrick's Day Party
Join us from 6-7PM on Wed. March 17th via Zoom for St. Patrick's Day! We'll be eating Irish potatoes, baking mint brownies for Caring For Friends, learning about St. Patrick, and announcing the winners of the Virtual Pet Show. Open house (don't feel like you need to stay the whole time!).
Congrats Beth & Brock!
Barrett Arthur Brock Coleman was born on January 28th just after midnight to Beth (Starrantino) and Brock Coleman! Beth is one of our Godly Play Storytellers. Mom, Dad, and Baby are doing well. We look forward to his baptism and having another little member of our St. Paul's community! Please feel free to send them cards!
Shop N Drop Partner Grows Garden
Our outreach partner, St. Luke's Germantown, was just featured in The Episcopal News Service, a national media outlet for our denomination. They are part of a growing gardening movement in parishes that started during COVID-19. They are growing vegetables at the Awbury Arboretum for distribution at their food pantry, which is also where our Shop N Drop donations go!

CYF Monthly Meeting Recap
Meeting Results: We're working hard on a plan to be able to adapt our traditional Easter Egg Hunt into an event for families that meets the Diocesan, City, and Vestry safety protocols. The idea is to move it to EASTER SUNDAY this year. More details TBA. We're also continuing to brainstorm about how we can raise money for the Standing Rock Reservation. If you have any ideas, please email Rev. Dan+.
Rev. Dan Kline+ is available to help you get connected, and he can be reached by e-mail at dkline@stpaulschestnuthill.org.
