4TH & 5TH GRADE RETURN TO IN-PERSON SCHOOL
Dear Jefferson Families
We are excited to welcome y(our) 4th & 5th graders back on campus on Wednesday, March 3rd to begin in-person cohort days. For the time being, I wanted to send you a few initial informational pieces below including a form where you will make your preference regarding the learning model options:

  • Please click HERE to make your learning model selection. The deadline to make a selection is February 24th. If you do not select an option, your child will be placed in the Hybrid in-person learning model.
  • For more information around learning models and reopening click the video link HERE and go to the one-minute and fifty-two-second mark.
  • Cohort assignments will be emailed on February 26th.
  • Additional specific information will be emailed to all 4th & 5th grade families over the week of February 22nd including: screening protocols, what supplies to bring, arrival and dismissal guidelines and much more. 
  • What will returning to schools look like? Check out the Jefferson video (HERE) and RBUSD video (HERE). Please note that these selections were initially produced/made for the 1st & 2nd grade return but the information in them is relevant to 4th & 5th grade.
  • To review the RBUSD Reopening information, including the RBUSD Reopening Guide. Please visit– www.rbusd.org and find the document under 2020-21 Reopening Schools.

Our Yearbook Team is collecting the photos to capture the unique memories of the 2020-2021 school year and we’d like to include your best photos! The photos we are looking for are:
  • Students at work during the distance learning
  • The celebrations and events during the 2020-2021 school year: Christmas, Halloween, Battle of the Books and any class events!

If you have some amazing photos you’d like included, follow these steps:

A Love Note can be any wish you would like to send to your son, daughter, teacher or staff member. These notes will be included in the last few pages of the school yearbook.

Please keep love note under 140 characters including punctuation. Please proof read as entries will be submitted as you typed it.

After you submit your Love Note please complete the payment of $3.00 or your entry will not be included in the yearbook.
