This program, which launched in 2020, invited older adults into creative and engaging conversations from the comfort of their own homes. Building from the concept of “well check calls” which are meant to address basic physical needs, Tele-Stories tends to social and emotional wellbeing by using creativity to forge connections and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. The ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center are accepting applications from programs that may have creatively redefined their respite services to meet family caregivers' current and evolving needs for support and social connections, or modified their respite services, eligibility, or location to enhance respite service flexibility and access in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. RRF Foundation for Aging—which has awarded over 5,000 grants of more than $255 million—is accepting proposal applications for its next grant cycle in their priority areas: caregiving, economic security in later life, housing, social and intergenerational connectedness. NEA Research Labs funds transdisciplinary research teams grounded in the social and behavioral sciences, yielding empirical insights about the arts for the benefit of arts and non-arts sectors alike. The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health is a collaborative fund focusing on the mental health and well-being of adolescents who are of color and/or LGBTQ+. Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a devastating impact on young people across the United States, The Upswing Fund will provide critical resources to front-line organizations that provide the services that young people rely on.
