January library news
Hello, library friends --

My new year's resolution is to not make any new year's resolutions. OK, now that I've broken that, I'm all done with resolutions for the year. Ha!

If you're on a better track with your resolutions than I am, maybe the library can help. Don't forget that we have books on all kinds of topics that might be relevant: using your new Instant Pot, getting organized, cleaning out your closets, learning a new skill, boosting your creativity, or just reading more! We also have a huge variety of classes on all kinds of topics available through Gale Courses, all free with your library card. Whatever you're into, the library can probably help. Stop in some time and let us know what we can do for you!

Library CLOSED for inventory, Jan 18-19

Stock up on books and movies to hold you for a few extra days! The Mercer Library will be CLOSED FOR INVENTORY on Monday, January 18 and Tuesday, January 19. Our online services will not be affected, and we will resume our regular hours on Wednesday, January 20.
Curbside and online services

The library is open to the public, with masks required for all visitors ages 5 and older. If you are keeping yourself isolated to avoid the pandemic or can't wear a mask for any reason, we offer curbside delivery for all library materials and many other services. Just call us at 715-476-2366 to let us know what you need, and we'll be happy to help.

You can also take advantage of our online services with your library card number. Visit our website at www.mercerpubliclibrary.org for links to our digital collection of e-books and audiobooks, Gale Courses, Ancestry Library Edition, and Badgerlink resources.
Hygge Craft Kits

Our FREE craft kits have been popular so far! Each kit contains instructions and the materials needed to put together a fun craft at home. All ages are welcome to take a kit, including adults.

January 15 and January 29 : Hygge theme kits
Hygge (pronounced Hoo-gah) is a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.

Kits are available at no charge thanks to support from the Friends of the Library. Pick them up beginning at about noon on their "release date" and while supplies last.
Book Clubs

Our book clubs are meeting virtually. Copies of the book will be available to borrow at the library, and new members are always welcome to join us!

Visit our online events calendar for more information and to get the links for the online meetings. (Just click on the program listing in the calendar.)
Tech Tuesday

Librarian Teresa Schmidt will hold "Tech Tuesdays" to provide one-on-one help with your technology questions at the library. Appointments are available on most Tuesdays, and on other days as necessary. Call us at 715-476-2366 for more info or to make an appointment.
