The California State Department of General Services has a job listing for the Chief of OAFM. The salary range is $130K - $150K, with a filing deadline of December 9. The responsibilities of this office include:
- Serve as transportation policy advisor;
- Oversee a fleet of 50,000 vehicles & mobile equipment plus state parking facilities;
- Oversee re-utilization & disposal of surplus property & provide short term warehouse services;
- Provide travel services for state and local government agencies.

CARB Enhanced HD I/M Regulation Hearing
|
|
CARB will hold a hearing on the adoption of an enhanced Heavy-duty Inspection and Maintenance regulation on December 9 at 9am. The Enhanced HD I/M Regulation will require periodic testing of HD vehicles with internal combustion engines operating in California, including out-of-state vehicles that enter California, to ensure their emissions control systems are functioning properly.

The National Renewable Energy Labs has done a study indicating that high adoption rates of “Micro Mobility” (E-Bikes, E-Scooters and Conventional Bikes) could save up to 2.3 billion gallons of gasoline annually.

Hyundai has created two EVs with nostalgic throwback designs, looking like 1980s models, but with modern interiors and EV drivetrains. Ohm Electric Cars in Dixon can accomplish a similar result, taking real 1980s cars and turning them into modern EVs.

Hyundai Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Hyundai has announced plans to use hydrogen fuel cells as the power source for all their production facilities and other work sites and to build hydrogen fuel cell cars in their Kia vehicle lineup starting in 2028.
