The University of Connecticut School of Business is proud to introduce EQUITY NOW, a new speaker series on underrepresented groups, and how law and policy can facilitate equality, fairness, and inclusion in organizations.

Each of the speakers to be featured in 2020-21 are esteemed business lawyers focused on legal and policy issues regarding race, identity, sexual orientation, disability and gender equality in modern organizations.

Tuesday, February 23rd from 12 - 1pm

The Oracle Database Coffee Chat will presented by Chris Saxon, a professional working as a data evangelist at Oracle. A coffee chat is a moderated conversation between a business tech professional and about 12 students who can ask any questions about career experience. 

Chris Saxon is an Oracle Developer Advocate for SQL. His job is to help you get the best out of the Oracle Database and have fun with SQL! To help you with this he blogs at All Things SQL. He also creates videos combining SQL and magic on YouTube at The Magic of SQL. If you have questions about working with Oracle Database technology, please reach out to him.   • UCTV Uplift strives to be an example by providing equal opportunities for constituents by creating an inclusive space for our Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) members. This semester, UCTV Uplift plans to create video content, professional development & networking opportunities, and collaborations with several UConn affiliated organizations.

  • Application Deadline: Finance Society Stock Pitch Competition

  • Finance Society will be hosting an Internal Stock Pitch Competition on March 20, 2021. All members, regardless of age and experience level, are encouraged to apply. Applicants will further be divided into teams and paired with a mentor from the Student Managed Fund (SMF) to guide the team through the process. If interested in participating, please apply here.

  • Participants will give their pitches at the 2021 Finance Society Conference on Saturday, March 20th
