A Story of Resilience: 2022 Annual Report celebrates Brampton’s economic highlights  In its 2022 Annual Report, the City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office highlights a resilient, entrepreneurial local economy with world-class investments generating high-quality jobs across a range of sectors.  In 2022, Brampton secured benchmark investments, such as MDA’s global headquarters and space robotics centre of excellence. In addition, Stellantis is leveraging a $3.6 billion investment to re-tool the Brampton facility to accommodate battery-electric and hybrid vehicles.  “We not only kept our vitally important local economy working – we grew and exceeded expectations. Magna announces 490,000 sq. ft. facility creating 560 new advanced manufacturing jobs in Brampton Magna International is expanding its already impressive footprint within the City of Brampton. Its new plant on Ace Drive will manufacture battery trays for electric vehicles, bolstering the city’s world-class innovation and advanced manufacturing sectors.   READ MORE City launches E-Scooter Pilot Program  The City of Brampton is prioritizing active transportation programs and plans in an effort to build more connected communities.
