BARNS IN WINTER
We are pleased to present this most timely photograph for a February day by featured artist, Rick Stockwell. His photographic series of red barns portray that particular beauty and the safety and warmth we assume exists within. He states “I am drawn to the particular beauty of the New England seasons as I see them, and the lines and colors of our buildings, built for simple utility and nestled peacefully in the valleys and hills of New Hampshire winters."
LET'S GET ARTSY
(in the snow)
Have you seen the Snowshoe Art of John Predom created in 4 1/2 hours and 14,000 steps.
"Thank you" to Rob Gurwitt, who called our attention to Snowshoe Art. Rob publishes the daily online news of the Upper Valley.
Or, you could be “Artsy" in the comfort of home by joining Friends of the Abbott Library’s Paint’n Sip with Statia.

The front page of Sunday’s Valley News featured “The Whittier Perkins Clock” for which the Historical
Society is seeking donations to bring this pre-Civil War clock back to Sunapee, where it was made. The clock would be added to the collection of the Sunapee Town Archives.

REFLECTIVE MARKERS
We’re in the throes of winter and buried in snow drifts… and so too, are many house numbers, making it difficult for Fire, EMT, or Police to respond when an emergency strikes. They cannot help us if they cannot find us! This can also be a problem for package delivery services. The Sunapee Fire Dept. Association is addressing the problem by offering house numbers for purchase by all, not limited to Sunapee residents.
EXTREME SKIING & BOARDING
Extreme skiing and boarding in Jackson Hole. Not for “Snow Bunnies” or the faint of heart!
