I hope that you and your family are doing well and staying healthy! As a previous member, I wanted to take this opportunity to send you information about the upcoming tennis & pickleball season!
Our tennis/pickleball memberships for the 2021 season will go on sale on Monday, March 15th at 6:00am. The membership fees for this year are $100.00 for resident adults (ages 18-59), $70.00 for resident seniors (ages 60+), and $125.00 for non-residents.
In December 2020, our department switched registration software and is now using MyRec.com. If you have not done so previously, you will need to create a MyRec account before purchasing your membership. Here is an overview on MyRec, including instructions on how to create an account and register for a program/membership: https://www.lexingtonma.gov/recreation-community-programs/pages/myreccom. When you go to purchase your membership on MyRec and scroll on the Register tab, be sure to click on Memberships (do not select Programs)!
We will continue to offer online tennis/pickleball court reservations through PlayLocal, www.playlocal.com,
again this year. This service will allow people make court reservations online using a computer or by using the app on their mobile device. Once you purchase a membership, our staff will notify PlayLocal that you are a member. That way, the system will recognize you as a member when you go to make court reservations. Please allow for 24 hours from the time you purchase a membership to when you will be added to the PlayLocal system. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Once your membership has been added to PlayLocal, you will receive additional instructions on how you can make court reservations.
The courts are set to officially open for the season on Thursday, April 1st. We are happy to announce that the lighting project at the Gallagher Courts is nearing completion and that all 10 courts will be available for use until 9:00pm throughout the 2021 season (lighted reservation fees apply)! As PlayLocal allows for reservations to be made up to two weeks in advance, the system is set to relaunch on Thursday, March 18th.
