DASD SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES TENTATIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

Agreement calls for revision of the 2022-23 school calendar

Last evening, the DASD School Board approved the Tentative Bargaining Agreement between the Dallastown Area Education Association and the District. This four-year contract will provide long-term stability within our District, allowing our educators to maintain a focus on educational excellence at Dallastown.

The approved agreement calls for the inclusion of four additional half-days for professional staff in-service (listed below) which does impact the current school calendar. The revised 2022-23 Community Calendar At-A-Glance may be accessed here.

  • Thursday, February 16, 2023 (Β½ Student Day)

Jorden Woodson, Lilyanna Muniz, and

Kori Thompson

Congratulations to Jorden Woodson, Lilyanna Muniz, and Kori Thompson, who have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs.

These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them meaningfully connect to colleges and stand out during the admissions process. Colleges and scholarship programs identify students awarded National African American, Hispanic, Indigenous, and/or Rural/Small Town Recognition through College Board’s Student Search Service.
