Diablo Learning Centers
The time is now! Our Diablo Learning Centers are open and available to all students. Designed to provide you with a quiet place to study, the Diablo Learning Centers are open before school, during school, and after school. If you need additional help with math, visit room 321 during 6th period or room 209 after school on Wednesdays. Please review the attached Diablo Learning Centers flyer for more information on dates and times.
Ahora es el momento! Nuestro Centro de Aprendizaje Diablos está abierto y disponible para todos los estudiantes. Diseñado para proveer un lugar tranquilo de estudio, el Centro de Aprendizaje Diablos está abierto antes, durante y después escuela. Mask Requirement - Indoor Events
The health and safety of SVUSD students, staff, and the community is of the highest priority to the SVUSD. The District continues to follow the guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA). Guidance will be updated as the situation evolves. The current guidance still requires masks to be worn indoors at all times in SVUSD schools for all students and visitors. This requirement includes all indoor athletic contests and indoor events and will be enforced on the MVHS campus.
La salud y seguridad de los estudiantes, personal y la comunidad son una prioridad para SVUSD. El distrito continúa siguiendo las guías emitidas por el Departamento de Salud de California (CDPH) y la Agencia del Cuidado de la Salud del Condado de Orange (OCHCA). Las guías serán actualizadas a medida que la situación evolucione. Las guías actuales todavía requieren que las máscaras sean usadas en espacios cerrados todo el tiempo en las escuelas de SVUSD para todos los estudiantes y visitantes. Los requisitos incluyen todo lo referido a actividades atleticas y eventos que se realicen adentro y será puesto en vigor en el campo e MVHS.

Advanced Placement Exams Sales Deadline is November 10th
This year MVHS is using Total Registration for AP Exam purchases. The deadline to purchase AP Exams without incurring a $40 late fee per exam is November 10, 2021. The cost of exams is $104 each. They will not be purchased through the MVHS WebStore. Please use the link below to purchase exams.
AP Exams will be administered May 3, 2022 through May 12, 2022. Exams are only available for students who are currently enrolled in the specific AP course.

Diablos Thrift FREE Store
Diablo's Thrift Free Store is a place created by the MVHS AVID students where all students can shop for FREE at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 511. Students can take up to ten items each day for free! Did we mention, it's FREE?!
Donations are accepted at any time. Students can bring donations to Diablo's Thrift when it is open at lunch or to room 504 at any time. Diablo's Thrift is a great way to save the planet! Instead of throwing away the clothes you don't like or don't fit any longer, bring them to Diablo's Thrift. Someone else will love them! We can only accept washed, gently used clothing, shoes, bags, and backpacks. Only donate items other students would want to wear. No baby/children/business clothing, please. In addition, we need plastic shopping bags and hangers.
Students can earn community service hours by working at Diablo's Thrift during Tues/Thurs lunches. Whenever there are donation items to sort and display, we need help!
Nuestra Tienda Libre de segunda mano Diablo es un lugar creado por los estudiantes de AVID de MVHS donde todos los estudiantes pueden comprar GRATIS durante el almuerzo los Martes y Jueves en el salón 511. Los estudiantes pueden llevarse hasta diez prendas por día gratis! Mencionamos ya que es GRATIS?!
Se aceptan donaciones en cualquier momento. Los estudiantes pueden traerlas a la tienda Diablo cuando esté abierta durante el almuerzo o al salón 504 en cualquier momento. La tienda Diablo es una gran forma de salvar al planeta! En lugar de tirar la ropa que ya no le gusta o no le queda, tráigalas a la tienda de segunda mano Diablo. Alguien más las amará! Sólo podemos aceptar ropa lavada, en buenas condiciones de uso, zapatos, bolsas y mochilas. Sólo cosas que otro estudiante usaría. No ropa de bebés/niños o ropa de negocio, por favor. También necesitamos bolsas plásticas y perchas.
Los estudiantes pueden obtener horas de servicio comunitario por trabajar en la tienda Diablo durante el almuerzo los Martes y Jueves. Necesitamos ayuda para clasificar y mostrar las cosas!

MVHS Drama Presents Clue November 4-6, 2021 @ 7:00 p.m. in the MVHS Performing Arts Theater. In this over the top murder mystery comedy, six strangers have to follow clues to figure out who among them is a dangerous murderer! Tickets are $13 and are on sale now at www.mvhsdrama.com.

Congratulations to Coach Chad Johnson and the varsity football team for making it to the CIF playoffs. The team will travel to Corona Centennial (1820 Rimpau Ave, Corona, CA 92881) on Friday, November 12th. Game will begin @ 7:30 p.m. See digital ticketing information below.
ASB is organizing a rooter bus to Corona Centennial so that students can ride the bus to the game and cheer on the team together. The cost of the bus will be $13 per student and can be paid for at the student store at lunch beginning Monday 11/08. A minimum of 50 students is needed by Wednesday 11/10 at lunch in order to reserve the bus. In the event that the minimum is not met, any student who paid for a spot, will have their payment refunded. Please reach out to ASB with any questions.

Digital Ticketing - GoFan
Mission Viejo High School is now using digital ticketing for all varsity athletic events where a ticket is required for entry (Football, Volleyball, Basketball). Avoid lines at the door by purchasing your tickets in advance. Once you have completed your transaction, you will receive an email receipt. You will redeem your tickets when you arrive at the entrance gate on the night of the event (do not redeem your ticket until you have arrived at the entrance gate). If you have not taken your senior portraits, do not wait any longer. The time to get your Senior Portraits taken is NOW! You must have your portrait taken at South Coast Photographic by November 13th, or your portrait will NOT be included in the yearbook.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Workshops
Our Counseling team has partnered with Western Youth Services to provide Virtual Interactive Social Emotional Learning (SEL) workshops for students after school. Each workshop (4) will be approximately 1 hour on specific Thursdays (Sept. 30, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec 9) throughout the semester from 4-5pm. Attendance is open to all SVUSD students using their school email address.

Nuestro equipo de Consejeria se ha asociado con Western Youth Services para proveer talleres Virtuales de Aprendizaje Socio- Emocional (SEL) para los estudiantes después de escuela. Cada taller (4) durarán aproximádamente 1 hora en jueves específicos (Sept. 30, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 & Dic. 9) de 4 a 5 de la tarde.
