Kettle Moraine School District Superintendent Dr. Patricia F. Deklotz provides her weekly update to the KM community. Her topics include:

1. New county guidelines for asymptomatic people
Magee Students Receive Unique Donation From Oconomowoc Fleet Farm
Magee kindergarten students have been curious about what is making beds and trails in their school's wooded and prairie areas. In an effort to capture images of the creatures, students wrote to the Oconomowoc Fleet Farm telling about their outdoor observations and shared their curiosity. Their writing and illustrations were quite persuasive - Fleet Farm responded by donating four trail cameras, memory cards, and batteries!
A link to a change request form will be shared via Infinite Campus Jan. 4 and requests will be open through Jan. 10. 

If you plan to make a change, please consider the impact a potential quarantine might have on your family in the coming quarter/term and select the correct environment. Due to staffing needs and configurations:

  1. Changes at the elementary level will likely cause reassignment of your child’s teacher and class configuration, regardless of your family's decision. In addition, changes in either direction will not be honored after Jan. 10.
  2. KM will not be able to honor changes at the middle and high school levels from distance learning to face-to-face learning after Jan. 10. 
  3. At the high-school level, selecting distance learning may alter your student’s term three course selections.
  4. The final opportunity to request a change will occur before the start of term four, which begins on March 30.

NOTE: This change request form is only necessary if you want to change your environment for the third quarter/term, which begins Jan. 26.

Artistic KMHS Holiday Helpers Create Cards And Pins For Three Pillars Residents
Mrs. Yaeger’s and Mr. Keefe’s Drawing From Life, Sculpture, and 2D Pathways classes have created holiday-themed cards and pins for residents at Three Pillars Senior Living Communities in Dousman.

The KMHS students hope to lift the spirits of many of the residents who are unable to see their loved ones due to COVID-19. Thank you to the students and staff making this kind and creative gesture possible!
