This Week at Anaheim First Presbyterian
Weekly Zoom Devotional Discussion
Tuesdays beginning March 8, 6:30-7:00 pm

Over the season of Lent, our congregation will join New Hope, St. Paul, and St. Mark for a brief weekly devotional on Zoom. Using the materials from the daily devotional, this time will allow for us to slow down in order to connect with God and each other. ( If you wish to receive a copy of the booklet, but have not, by the end of the week please email the church at:
Offices@anaheimfirstpres.org or call 714-535-2176 and Jessica will help you to get a copy.)

This week we will be discussing John 12:1-8

This Sunday!
This year our Lenten theme will be "Full to the Brim."

Full to the Brim is an invitation—into a radically different Lent, into a full life. The assigned Lectionary passages for this year are filled with parables and promises of God's abundant and expansive grace. Jesus as a mother hen, a prodigal son welcomed home, a fig tree nurtured with care and hope, precious oil poured out lovingly and freely, stones shouting out with praise—these sacred texts are brimming with a gospel of grace. They invite each of us to be authentically who we are, to counter scarcity and injustice at every turn, to pour out even more grace wherever it is needed.

Please join us during this Lenten season as we allow ourselves to be filled to the brim with God's lavish, overflowing love.

Pastor Kim will be preaching on
Full to the Brim--Brazen Acts of Beauty"
John 12:1-8

Those who worship from home are invited to have some bread/crackers and juice/wine ready so they may join those in the sanctuary in partaking in communion.

Upcoming Events
A Meeting of the Congregation has been called for Sunday, April 10 immediately following worship.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider, and hopefully approve, the
sale of our school property, based upon an offer by a local Charter Elementary
School. Watch for a letter to the congregation with more details that will be
mailed out this week.

Because of the importance of this decision we hope that many will
attend the meeting in person. However, for those who are unable to attend in
person, the meeting will also be live streamed via Zoom. The Zoom link will the
same one used for worship so there will be no need to log on again to join the
meeting.
