Keeping Up With King's

See your Friends and Classmates Graduate

Congratulations to King's Class of 2022! It was wonderful to celebrate the success and accomplishments of our graduates back together on campus.

Video Resources on Truth and Reconciliation and Colonization Issues

As a Catholic university, King’s University College is a forum for difficult and uncomfortable discussions regarding faith and justice, acknowledging historical injustices and committing ourselves to the work of truth-seeking and truth-telling about these injustices and ongoing harm. Truth-telling is a necessary precondition to taking the first steps for reconciliation.

Before and during the upcoming papal visit, we will be sharing video resources on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and colonization issues. This week, we present the September 26, 2019, Veritas Lecture series President's Lecture with Senator Murray Sinclair, Chief Commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, who spoke on “The Future of Truth and Reconciliation.”

Viewing the papal visit

In addition to coverage on television networks across the country, there are many ways to view

the papal events. These include the following:

a) Salt & Light Catholic Media Foundation has a dedicated site for information and broadcast details for the papal visit - you can visit the English site or the French site. The network will air all public events.

b) The two sites – www.papalvisit.ca and www.visitepapale.ca - will have links to a number of livestreams for papal events, broadcast in more than 10 languages, including several Indigenous languages, as well as sign language. Visitors will also be able to access feeds from Vatican TV that include commentary in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and German.
