OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

We experience God's love (Worship)

Join us for our Annual Parish Meeting between the two services at 9:30 AM. At this meeting, we will report on 2021, present a budget, elect new vestry members, and Father Michael will cast a vision for 2022 via video. Given the uncertainty of the pandemic, we will hold the meeting in the Church to allow everyone the opportunity to spread out. If you are not able to attend in-person, you may watch the meeting via zoom. Please note that the election for vestry members will be done via in-person voting at the meeting. The Nominating Committee will present its slate of nominees soon. **Please note there will be no Adult Christian Education classes that day.
CONFIRMATION CLASSES (ADULT & YOUTH)
BEGIN SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 6
Confirmation is an opportunity to “confirm” your baptismal faith during the bishop’s visit on Sunday, May 15. It is also a way to take ownership in being a member of an Episcopal Church in general and Christ Church in particular. This year, because Fr. Michael will be on sabbatical, Rev. Katie will teach a joint (adult and youth) semester-long confirmation class. Although the class will be taught together, we will form separate discussion groups for youth and adults during the class. Classes will be held on Sundays from 9:30-10:15 AM in the Parlor beginning Sunday, February 6. To sign up for classes, please e-mail Kelly Heindl, Parish Secretary, by Friday, February 4. If you have any questions, please e-mail Rev. Katie.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
~ Sunday, January 23 ~
Parents: Please walk your children to the Christian Education Building. Enter by the church courtyard and go through the green door marked for your entry. You will follow the footsteps along the hallways to the Christian Education Building. The nursery is on the first floor and Sunday School rooms are upstairs on the second floor. You can pick your children up from their classrooms or nursery following the 10:30 service.

8:00 AM – The Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3-years-old.

9:30 AM – At this time, the Sunday School program is paused. Please join us during the 10:30 AM service for Godly Play for younger children and Journey Through the Bible for our older children.

10:30 AM – During the 10:30 AM service, the Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3 years old, located on the first floor of the Christian Education building.

Godly Play is offered for children in Pre-K 4 through 3rd grade. Children learn the stories of our faith while playing, crafting, and exploring. A snack is offered. This Sunday we will have our lesson on the Holy Eucharist. The lesson focuses on the importance of the Eucharist in our church worship and will help the children prepare for the time when they will be in church with their parents to participate in the Eucharist. We will have a Covid-safe Eucharist with the children. And we will have flat bread, honey and grape juice for our snack. This is always one of the children’s favorite Sundays, so please try to make it to church.

Journey Through the Bible is a new curriculum for our 4th and 5th graders. They will journey through the entire Bible the two years of this class, starting with the New Testament this year.
STAY CONNECTED WITH
CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!
Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings & ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CFM also has a bite-sized weekly email with the "5 Things" our families need to know for the week – Sunday reminders, save the dates, and more. Would you like to be added? Email Victoria to be added to the list!

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Office.
CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
