Gala Newsletter - November 30, 2020
Dear St. Anthony of Padua Families,

We are so excited to chair the 20th Anniversary Gala for St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School! The Havana Nights Gala will be held at The Woodlands Resort on April 10, 2021 and promises to be a fun, lively evening focused on supporting our school and students. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate the new year and our triumph over what has been a challenging time for us all. 

This unforgettable event will feature great food and cocktails, silent and live auctions, wonderful music and a fun night out with other school parents. Our dedicated team of committee members have been working hard for several months and are committed to making this a fun and safe event.

Your attendance will help to make this year’s gala a huge success. In addition, there will be opportunities in the coming weeks and months to sign up for class parties, parent-hosted parties and school offerings for your child such as "Teacher for the Day". Look for more information in the Gala newsletters, which will be sent monthly until our event.

The success of our Gala would not be possible without the assistance of our entire school community. Please join us in supporting our school! We look forward to celebrating with you all on Saturday, April 10th.

We are excited to announce our first Gala Parties & Socials. Parties & Socials are a great way to get to know other St. Anthony students/families!

Parent-Hosted Parties
Have you ever wanted to host a party or small event to help raise money for our school? Now is your chance to be a fundraising hero! Some examples of parent-hosted parties: adults-only sip-and-paint party, kids nerf party, backyard family movie night, dads poker night, charity softball game. The options are limitless! Tell us all about your proposed event and we'll handle the ticketing and help with the marketing. ď»żIf you are interested in hosting a party to support our school please contact Amanda Walters at agwalters23@gmail.com.

BASKET WISH LISTS
This year all grade levels will be putting together themed auction baskets! Below are each theme and wishlist per grade-level. Please donate an item and together we will fill baskets with amazing, auction-worthy items. Our room parents have put together online wish-lists to make shopping easy! You can purchase items from Amazon and have them mailed directly to the school.


You may prefer to donate gift cards and cash instead of specific basket item:
  • Cash, checks or gift cards should be sent in ATTN: Gala Committee in a sealed envelope marked with grade-level and Gala Baskets.
  • Please also include your family's name with donation/gift cards so that we can provide proper donation acknowledgment.

Deadline to donate items for this year's baskets is February 26th, 2021. Your participation is very much appreciated! THANK YOU!
AUCTION ITEMS & IDEAS
Our Gala Committee is looking for the most desirable items out there for this year's auction and we would love your help! Here are a few ideas!

Do you have a unique skill, talent or hobby to share?
  • Present a wine tasting or mixology lesson
  • Sponsor a progressive dinner or scavenger hunt party
  • Offer floral arranging, interior design, or a photography session
  • Contribute a professional service--financial advising, orthodontics, landscaping, fishing trip

Do you have a connection to someone famous or a special place or
event?
  • Arrange a “behind the scenes” visit to a TV or movie set
  • Coordinate a celebrity/personal chef/chef’s table experiences
  • Provide concert/theater tickets/sporting events
  • Organize an insider’s tour of an area landmark
  • Facilitate a lunch with a VIP or “meet and greet” session with a star
  • Plan a sports clinic with a professional athlete

Back by popular demand, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School is holding a Winner’s Choice Raffle in conjunction with our Havana Nights Gala! We are very grateful to TACHUS for sponsoring this year’s raffle!
