On the second day of school, the Governor and First Lady awarded the Spirit of Virginia Award to An Achievable Dream, a full K-12 education program that operates six schools in partnership with Newport News Public Schools, Virginia Beach City Public Schools and Henrico County Public Schools.

Virginia's Executive Mansion is open to the public after more than two years of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The mansion is open Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with no reservations required (please let us know if your group is larger than 10).
