July is hear and with it the heart of the summer.  That means our summer reading programs are in full swing.  Both the Children's Department and the Young Adult department have scheduled lots of cool, fun, and exciting programs for their respective audiences.  For the best result since there are sooo many programs to choose from, your best bet is to visit the Calendar of Event s page on the website( Calendar of Events  )and look for the programs that fit your age range and schedule.  We haven't forgotten our adult patrons and there is a special summer reading program for you, just check with the Circulation desk for all the details.  It's going to be a busy month here at the library so we'll see you when you come in!
Nevins Library Introduces Flipster®, a New Way to Access Digital Magazines - Starts July 1. 
The One-Stop-Shop for Digital Magazines Allows Library Patrons  
to Browse the Latest Issues of the Most Sought After Magazines ~
 
Check out Flipster on our website for access to our new magazine service for computers and tablets etc.

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a great new service. Starting July 1,  We'll be  using the Ebsco product Flipster to provide digital magazines to our Methuen patrons.  This product allows the user to  access the same issues of popular magazines that are on the newsstand as a digital copy on their tablet or phone or even computer.  Magazines can be downloaded to Android phones and tablets, Apple phones and tablets and Kindle Fire tablets for offline reading anytime anywhere.   Take your magazines on vacation, and read them on the beach, at the mountains or at home on the couch.

Outdoor Concert with Andy and Judy

July 19 6:30-7:30pm in the Garden
Join us n the garden for an evening outdoor concert by Andy and Judy.  This folk duo have recorded three cd's and will be playing both their own original music as well as the popular classics.  What a nice way to wind down after a work day.  Open to all ages.  Come one, come all!
Bring your blanket or folding chair for comfort.

July is "teeming" with Teen programs
Amazing Race for Teens - July 13, 6-7:30pm

On Wednesday, June 13th at 6pm students going into grades 6-9 are invited to participate in the Amazing Race! Much like the famous reality TV show, students will have to put their minds and their bodies to the test as they compete for the title of champion. You might not be traveling the world, but you might feel like it by the end! If you plan to compete.

Nancy Thayer is Back @ the Nevins Library

We are excited to welcome back Nevins Library favorite and New York Times bestselling author Nancy Thayer!   Her latest book, The Island House, is sure to be a favorite this summer.

Children's Department is Hopping this Month

2016 Summer Reading Program - On Your Mark, Get Set....READ

The staff of the Children's area is ready to keep your child excited about reading this summer and they have put together a great line up of fun programs for all ages and grade levels this month.  Everything from magic to music, from coding to coloring will be happening in July.  This is a great time to check out some fun books to read or read to someone special.
