Second Tuesday
Checking In: Housing and Food in the Pandemic - Both food and housing insecurity have greatly increased in the past year, straining already limited resources. Join us on Tuesday, February 9, 9:30-11:00am, to meet with Housing Forward and Beyond Hunger, key leaders in our local safety net, to learn today's facts and how they are impacting our communities. To attend this virtual event, register here.
Voter Service
We would like to inform you of what happened during the lame duck session of the Legislature regarding the permanent codification of SB 1863 - changes that were popular, improved the fall 2020 election process, and helped ensure voter safety during the pandemic. No Action Was Taken!  Therefore, the Illinois Elections Laws have reverted back to what they were before the November 2020 election. This means that there will not be Vote By Mail applications sent to all registered voters, there will not be drop boxes for VBM ballots at early voting sites, early voting sites will not be available on Election Day, and Election Day will not be a holiday.
