HOME CARE MATTERS
July Newsletter - 2021
fourth-july-header3.jpg
As a reminder, the July 4th holiday falls on a Sunday this year, so our AHC office staff will observe their holiday on Monday, July 5th and offices will be closed in honor of Independence Day.

Caregivers working on the actual holiday, Sunday July 4th, will be paid holiday pay (time and a half). Caregivers working on Monday, July 5, will be paid regular pay. If you have questions about your schedule please contact the office to confirm. Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!
Updates to Travel Policy

Our COVID Travel Quarantine Policy has been revised per recent CDC recommendations. Fully vaccinated employees may now travel domestically and internationally without self-quarantining when returning to Washington State, unless they have symptoms or have traveled to specific high-risk areas, as identified by the CDC. Unvaccinated employees must self-quarantine when returning from out of state or international travel. All travelers must continue to follow the CDC’s recommendations for safe travel. To be exempt from quarantine requirements we must have proof of your vaccination status. Please check your email for additional information.
As a reminder, because we are a healthcare company, all of our employees (vaccinated or not) are still required to wear face masks in our clients' homes. Your clients depend on you to keep them safe and healthy at home and we want the same for you. Thank you for continuing to observe this requirement!
We are HIRING & INTERVIEWING Weekly

Do you know a CNA or NAR who would make a great addition to our team and who can commit to part time OR full time hours? We are looking for the BEST caregivers to join us and will pay you for referring them once they are hired and work*!

*Contact JoAnne in HR for details and make sure the applicant you refer puts your name on their application. THANK YOU.

Reminder: The RN Supervisors are always available to set up in person, 1-on-1 training sessions at your convenience. If you want more training in certain areas or to practice things like hoyer lift transfers, end of life care, etc., they are here to help you succeed!
Congratulations to caregiver,

Kaleigh B.

She just became an official CNA after attending Procare and passing her state exam. Enjoy your new title and pay raise! We are proud of you!
Blueberry Muffin Recipe

July is National Blueberry Month, (who knew there was such a thing?) so we thought we would share this gluten-free, healthier blueberry muffin recipe with you. Grab some fresh or frozen blueberries and try it out with family, friends or even bake them with a client! If you make these muffins, please post a photo to our Advanced Health Care employee group facebook page. We'd love to see how they turn out and share!
Employee Recognition: What Your Clients Are Saying About You

We've had the opportunity this month to read and hear about how some of YOU are helping our clients and making a difference in their lives. We want to highlight some of their survey quotes here:

Miranda U., "I like that she is very alert and aware of how she can be of the most help to my dad. She also interacts with him. She has extended his enjoyment of life."
Dalwyn H., daughter of client

Various AHC Caregivers. "I'm 98 years old, and they give me meds and take my vitals. They also take care of laundry and cooking. It's better than being married!"
Mr. Harvey D., client

Various AHC Caregivers "They prepare my breakfast and lunch. They help me keep my house in order. They communicate with me very well. I like that they are compassionate and helpful."
Mrs. Wendy M., client

Roxana C. & Molly H. "They are both well trained and they have been with the company for some time. They know how to take care of their people. They are just really helpful to me in every way.
