Greetings!

The New Year is off and running, and the Chamber is gearing up for an awesome year of community events , business growth, and networking opportunities.

The Chamber of Commerce will meet at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Oconto Falls Senior & Community Center. Bill Koehne of Packerland Websites, will sponsor our lunch and be the featured speaker. No need to RSVP, just drop in for pizza and pasta at the first membership meeting of 2022.

Serendipity by Sami
Congratulations to Serendipity by Sami, located at 223 Vanburen St. Oconto Falls, across the street from New Beginnings.

The Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 2. Sami sells custom-made tumblers, candles, jewelry, décor, and more.

Community Updates
New Face at Falls Library
The Oconto Falls Library welcomes Amy Peterson as its new librarian. Amy comes to us from Lena Library. We wish a happy retirement to Joan Denis and warm welcome to Amy.
Fatty in the Falls
The Oconto Falls Area Cycling Coalition held its Fatty in the Falls event on Saturday, Jan. 8.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered and participated in the annual event which raises funds for our trail system.
Tubing Hill is Open
The Oconto Falls Lions Tubing Hill is open for the season. Weather permitting, the hill is open 1-4pm Saturdays and Sundays on Mead Avenue, next to River Island Golf Course.
Community Events
Community Theater Show
Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. will perform “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” March 3-6 and 10-13 at at the Nancy Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St. Abrams. Tickets are on sale online or at 920-826-5852.
Cross-Country Ski Trails
The trails are groomed and ideal for cross-country skiing at the Machickanee Forest. The trailhead is located 6625 Timberline Road, Abrams. The Machickanee CC Ski Club will hold a meet and greet from 1-3pm Saturday, Jan. 22.

Bettering the Community

We are proud of our accomplishments to make the Oconto Falls area the best place to work, play, shop, live, and learn!

Here's what the Chamber has been up to:
  • Developing a trail system with new and renovated paths
  • Hosting the annual Run for the Trails event
  • Supporting the pickleball court resurfacing project and dog park construction
  • Offering a free concert series, “Music by the River”
  • Partnering with local organizations for the community health and safety expo
  • Sponsoring the city’s welcome signs, American flag project, Highway 22 project, Leadership Oconto County
  • Getting signage for ATV/UTV/Fat Tire Bike trails, points of interest
  • Painting the smokestack at ST Paper
  • Adding new bike racks to public locations
