A youth-led coalition has mobilized with support from the Rocky Mountain Partnership and is working with I am 27J to help EDUCATE, REGISTER, AND TURN OUT VOTERS in order to pass a mill levy override this fall.

This mill levy override will provide much needed funding to support Career and Technical Education (CTE), staffing, and school safety.

The 27J Schools Board of Education has voted to move forward pursuing a mill levy override on this November's ballot to increase local property tax funding for the district.

RMP's youth-led coalition will be hyper-focused on targeting young voters ages 18-24 while ensuring community members of all ages are educated, registered, and ready to turnout to support this issue in November.

As a result, 27J students must settle for less than their peers around the state. Over the past decade, 27J Schools has had to make difficult cuts in programming, services, and staffing.

Without additional funding, our youth will continue to not have the resources they need, and deserve, to thrive.

A successful mill levy override will support our current and future workforce:

• Expand career and technical education (CTE) to help build the skills of our future workforce, including ensuring CTE centers being built thanks to the 2021 bond have the staffing and resources they need

• Ensure teachers and staff in the district have the compensation and resources needed to continue building the next generation of leaders

• Expand efforts to keep students safe and secure
