VBS 2023

Thank you to all who helped make our 2023 VBS a success!
CROSSLINES
St. James is the church in charge of providing donations,
hygiene items, and volunteers on
August 31st!
Support our church and our community by committing to one
of the following:

1. BRING hygiene items to the church before
Wednesday the 30th. Needed favorites include
shampoo, toilet paper, deodorant, toothpaste and
brushes, laundry detergent pods, etc.

2. DONATE cash or a check with “Crosslines” or
“Outreach” in the memo.

3. VOLUNTEER a full or half shift. Enjoy some
camaraderie and lend a helping hand to families in
need.

It is a beautiful gift to see the good we do!

Youth Game Night

Get ready to game! On September 15, the Diocesan Youth Missioner will be hosting a Youth Game Night at St. James. Youth from 6th – 12th grade will be invited for an evening of food, games, and fun!



CONTEMPLATIVE OUTREACH

You are invited to participate in the Contemplative Outreach of Missouri
Intra-Chapter Hybrid
Living Flame Program


The 2023-24 Living Flame Program is a seven-session offering of in-depth spiritual study and enrichment for Contempla8ve Outreach chapters, groups or anyone interested in deepening their Centering Prayer prac8ce. This extraordinary program will be presented over a seven-month period with seven full-day (9-2) offerings. It is designed to heighten the awareness of the dynamics of Centering Prayer in the context of the spiritual journey. Each session will include two periods of Centering Prayer and two conferences. Program presenters will join us via Zoom. We hope to gather in community but understand that this may not be possible for all. Par8cipants may choose to be in person or at home. For SW Missouri, we will meet at Christ Episcopal Church, 601 E Walnut, Springfield. The registra8on fee for the seven-week in person sessions will be $75.00. I’m Possible: A Gathering for Disabled Persons and Supporters

When: Saturday, September 9, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. 201 S Killingsworth Ave., Bolivar, MO 65613

The Access for All God’s Children committee is hosting a gathering for The Diocese of West Missouri for persons living with disabilities and their supporters.
