IAGB to Celebrate Republic Day 2017 with All-Day Mela
Next year's IAGB’s Republic Day event on Saturday, January 28, 2017, will consist of a day-long celebration featuring multiple activities for all ages and talents to participate in.
The festivities will culminate with IAGB’s first-ever LIVE Antakshari Competition Grand Finale. Similar to our program every year, these activities will be followed by group performances.
We will also have various vendor stalls selling their services and merchandise. This is yet another golden opportunity for sponsors and vendors to reach out to the Indian-American community. IAGB affiliate Saheli’s 20th-year celebration event took place on September 10.

BAPS Recognizes IAGB
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha recognized IAGB in its program, "Timeless Tributes to the Life and Legacy of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj," in honor of the late Swami's life.
Executive Committee Directors Praveena Naduthota and Rajesh Shah represented IAGB at the occasion, and Boston-area community leaders were also present.
The audience watched a video presentation, in which world leaders memorialized the Swami’s selfless service to the community. BAPS unveiled a book by the late Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who held the Swami in great regard, and presented copies of the book to attendees.

IAMC Boston Chapter's Annual Fundraising Dinner: October 9
The Boston Chapter of Indian American Muslim Council holds its annual fundraising dinner on Sunday, October 9, at 6 pm, at St Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury, MA.
Veteran Indian journalist and civil rights campaigner
Ajit Sahi
, who has spoken at public forums globally, will be the the keynote speaker at the fundraiser. He will address the topic “Diaspora Advocacy: Safeguarding Religious Freedom and Human Rights in India.”

IAAS Comedy Kissa Angoothi Ka: October 22
Indian American Association
of Sharon and Sharon Theatre Group are presenting a comedy play "Kissa Angoothi Ka" on Saturday, October 22, at 3 pm at Mansfield High School, 250 East Street, Mansfield, MA. The play is directed by Jayashree Shahane and produced by Deepak Shahane and Deepak Wadhwa.

Boston Passport Agency's Passport Day: October 22
The Boston Passport Agency hosts
Passport Day
on Saturday, October 22, from 9 am until 1 pm at the Tip O’Neill building, 10 Causeway Street Boston. The general public is invited to apply for a new passport or renew an existing/recently expired passport. No appointment is necessary, no travel plans are needed and no expedite fee will be charged for routine processing service.
