The 140th anniversary of the Chinese Exclusion Act gives pause to reflect upon what progress, if any, our society has made to counter the tide of discrimination and hate toward our Asian sisters and brothers, both here and on the broader national stage. To offer a comprehensive and objective analysis, this week's "Online Briefing for Faith Leaders," hosted by the San Francisco Interfaith Council, welcomes architect of the STOP ASIAN HATE movement San Francisco State University Professor of Asian American Studies Dr. Russell Jeung. In addition to discussing his critical work, Dr. Jeung will offer a perspective from the lens of his own faith and what he perceives faith-based organizations can offer to build greater solidarity and inclusion with our City's Asian community.
