Recreation All-Star Team
FC Richmond is hosting a Recreation All-Star game on November 13th at Greenfield Elementary school! Our full- time staff and directors have been identifying our outstanding recreational players based on their overall athleticism, technical abilities, and passion for the game.

Our goal in the all-star games is to recognize the players who are excelling in our recreation program. These players possess characteristics that may make them a good fit for our travel programs in the near future. FC Richmond has a long history of producing high level, competitive players who go on to compete at the college and professional level, and this is where the journey begins.

The games will be played from 9:00am-2:30pm. We are looking forward to watching our future stars compete in this all-star event!

AGE: U10-U14 Girls and Boys 5v5 Futsal

Beyond the Game with Coach Bo Renes
We are excited to feature a new member of the FC Richmond family, Bo Renes, our current U19 Magic Elite team coach. Bo was born in Holland but has spent much of his time coaching soccer in India. His experiences in India have given him a unique and humble perspective which reflects the principles of integrity, character, respect and work ethic. Bo shared an experience of his time in India where he felt as though his gratitude and perspective broadened. He was volunteering in a small, poverty-stricken community in which the civilization was believed to be cursed as nomadic wanderers by a King many ages ago. He observed that despite being surrounded by poverty, the common love and passion for soccer seemed to unite everyone. Bo was mesmerized by the unity of the community and it opened his eyes to a new sense of gratitude and is also an example of how the beautiful game has the ability to change lives off of the field. Bo firmly upholds Nelson Mandela’s statement that, “Sports have the power to change the world." This is why Bo decided to be a coach. He wanted to be a symbolic representation of the change he wishes to see in the world. Bo believes this change can come in the form of helping, forgiving, and loving even when the world says no and being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Most importantly, Bo believes that being joyful while performing acts of grace fully fulfills a deep and passionate purpose for being honorable on and off the field.

Junior Board Outreach
FOOD DRIVE
The FC Richmond Junior Board is hosting a food drive to benefit the Chesterfield Food Bank. There are only a few days left to donate and we would love to see the collection bins overflowing with food to take to our friends at the Food Bank. Collection bins are located at Robious Middle School, Greenfield and Huguenot Park beside the sheds. Thank you for your support!
VOLUNTEER COACH APPRECIATION DAY
Our Junior Board recognized our volunteer recreational coaches last weekend by offering coffee, donuts, sweet treats and subs at the games at RMS. We appreciate the hours these volunteer coaches put in to encouraging children to lead an active lifestyle, while teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Thank you volunteer coaches!

We also had a drawing for gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods, Lowe's and Buffalo Wild Wings. Congratulations to our winners: Justin Lopus, Cisco Contreras, and Kathy Hoverman!

Thank you to Publix and Starbucks for providing food and drinks for this event!
