Year-End Video: Celebrating 2021

Sherman College extends a heartfelt thank you to our students, employees, alumni and friends for a wonderful 2021. This year, we celebrated our full return to campus with in-person classes and traditional Sherman events like Lyceum and commencement! It’s been a great year filled with growth and appreciation. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to making 2022 another great year!

December, March Grads Celebrate Commencement

Sixty-six students from around the world received the doctor of chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, on Saturday, December 11. The college’s 142nd commencement was a shared ceremony for December and March graduates. The college live-streamed the ceremony on Facebook and YouTube so that friends and family could watch.
 
Sherman College Names Faculty, Staff Member of the Year

Sherman College of Chiropractic recently honored Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences Alan Brewster, B.S., D.C., A.C.P., ’89, and Assistant Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning Amy Carlson, B.S., in appreciation of their contributions, time and commitment to the college.

Dr. Brewster was named Faculty Member of the Year and is known on campus for his positive outlook and dedication to students. Carlson was named Staff Member of the Year, an honor she also received in 2019, in recognition of her unwavering commitment to supporting the needs of the Sherman College academic community. Trustee Lanzara-Bazzani Represents Sherman College in New Hampshire

Special thanks to Sherman College Trustee Dr. Lisa Lanzara-Bazzani, who represented the college at a New Hampshire State Chiropractic Society (NHSCS) program December 4-5. We are thankful for her support in promoting the college, referring students and recommending colleges for admission agreements. She is pictured with NHSCS President Dr. Matt Swiesz.

President Cordero Honored by Florida Chiropractic Society

The Florida Chiropractic Society recently presented Sherman College President Edwin Cordero, D.C., with the B.J. Palmer Service Award in recognition of his dedication and service to FCS and the chiropractic profession, and for “setting an example of guarding the sacred trust in life and practice.”

According to the FCS, this award is given to individuals who have contributed positively to the chiropractic profession through their dedication, commitment and passion, while always maintaining the principles taught to by B.J. Palmer.

Chiropractic Health Center Names Intern of the Month

The Chiropractic Health Center faculty recognizes an intern each month who excels in clinical performance, patient management, professionalism, and analytical and adjusting technique. The intern is chosen each month from those enrolled in Clinic 722 through Clinic 810.

The November 2021 Intern of the Month was Tina Tang of Charlotte, NC. Following graduation in March, she plans to work as an associate before opening her own practice in 3-4 years.

We thank Tina for all that she does to enhance the patient experience and support fellow interns at the on campus Health Center!
