YOUR FEEDBACK IS NEEDED FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education is interested in gathering your feedback on two proposed calendar options for the 2023-2024 academic school year. There are two draft options created for your consideration: 1.) Adheres to the NC Calendar Law or 2.) Local control with flexibility. Please note this is not a vote but an opportunity to collect feedback. This data will be shared with the Board of Education during their discussion on what is best for student learning. Please complete the survey by January 9, 2023, at 5:00 pm.

Applications for the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Summer Accelerator Courses and Sessions are now open.  For more information, visit https://www.ncssm.edu/summer-programs/accelerator.

TECHNOLOGY UPDATES:

Over the winter break, we will be migrating our Microsoft accounts into ClassLink.  This means that when we return in January, students that use Windows machines and Microsoft resources will login into these the same way.

Students will use their CCS Email as their username and their ClassLink password as their new Windows computer and Microsoft account passwords.

Here is a guide on how STUDENTS will log into their resources starting in Jan 2023.

THE GOVERNOR'S PAGE PROGRAM

The Governor’s Page Program offers students an in-depth view of state government. During the week, Pages will be onsite in the Governor’s Office and will also tour government buildings and historic sites including the Legislative Building, the State Capitol, the Executive Mansion, and the North Carolina Museum of History. In addition, pages will have the opportunity to develop a policy proposal with policy officials from various state government departments. You can find more information on our website here: https://governor.nc.gov/governors-page-program
