As a reminder, the Lake Forest Community High School District 115 and the Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 Boards of Education will hold a Special Meeting this evening, January 28 at 5:30 PM. This meeting will be held remotely and live streamed to comply with the procedures set forth in Public Act 101-640, extended by Governor Pritzker to February 7, 2021.
On Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27, the District 67 and District 115 Boards, respectively, approved a contract with executive search firm Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) to lead the search for a new superintendent. This evening's joint special meeting will be the first public opportunity for both Boards and the HYA team to begin the search process through discussion and planning with representatives from the new firm.
Individuals who wish to make a public comment at this virtual meeting should notify Chief Technology Officer, Jordan Salus, at jsalus@lfschools.net no later than 12:00 PM (noon) on the day of the meeting (today). Mr. Salus will be in contact with those individuals regarding instructions on how to call in to make public comment. If comments are submitted by community members in writing only, they will be added to the meeting record but will not be read aloud by a representative of the District at the meeting. Community members may read their own written comments once registered with Mr. Salus.
