LAB TWO: Two Films, Two Beginnings, Two Arguments, First Impressions: In this 75-minute session, participants will return to the opening sequences of both RISE: Voice of a New Generation and Most Likely to Succeed. Participants will view the first 15 minutes of Most Likely to Succeed first, then the first 10 minutes of RISE: Voice of a New Generation, second. Zoom workgroups will analyze the two filmmakers' (Jon Long and Greg Whiteley) approaches in relation to the stories each film set out to tell. In RISE: Voice of a New Generation, the first 10 minutes focuses on students determining their own pathways to learning. In Most Likely to Succeed, the first 15 minutes argues that the world is changing at hyper speed, therefore education must change. Workgroups will return to the main Zoom to report out their analysis to their fellow participants. One Stone Lab School students will join the discussion. |
