The Great California Wisdom Swap continues and we want to hear from you! We’ve already collected some great ideas and prizes are awarded on the Wednesday of each week.
Remember that once you submit an entry, you become eligible for all weekly prize drawings until you win, and even after you win, your name goes back into the “hat” for the grand prized drawing in October at our teacher conference.

EdTA Connected Arts Network (CAN) Project
|
|
This professional learning community is a great way to meet other theatre teachers across the nation to work together in PLCs to discuss pedagogy, practice, and collaborate on resources! (especially for those who may feel like they are on an island of their own!)
EdTA's CAN project focuses on rich professional development for educators through professional learning communities focused on teacher practice, leadership and agency across three areas:
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Educator Leadership
The CAN grant project is aligned with the EdTA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan and recent work to build an SEL Lesson Plan Library model lesson plan embedded with SEL instruction. Click below for more information or to APPLY!

Prop 28 Meeting: Increasing Access to Arts Education: Implementing Prop 28

Attend this FREE informational and planning event with a team from your district:
Title: Increasing Access to Arts Education: Implementing Prop 28
Date:
Thursday, August 3, 2023 2:00pm-4:00pm via Zoom
Description:
Co-presented by the San Diego County Office of Education and the Orange County Department of Education.
Participants will be provided with updated guidance and information, given time to discuss opportunities and challenges, and collaboratively create an action plan to launch efforts toward increasing access and equity in the arts. Guided conversations will focus on new approaches to arts education to meet the needs of current students and families.
Come with a team of people (Arts Administrators, Lead Teachers, Site Principals, Finance) to unpack the promise of Prop. 28.
Outcomes:
- Learn about opportunities and guidelines for Prop 28 Funding
- Explore opportunities to utilize the funding to best meet the needs of all students alongside participants from across the region
- Collaborate with your district team to develop consensus around approaches to meet the needs of students in your schools and district.
- Develop an action plan to address staffing and equipment needs for Prop 28 implementation.

Stand Up 4 Arts Education - April 30, 2024
|
|
On April 30, CETA will join with CMEA (Music Educators), CDEA (Dance Educators) and CAEA (Art Educators) to present Stand Up 4 Arts Education Day at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Stand Up 4 Arts Education Day will include student performances and legislative visits, with CETA workshops in Acting and Advocacy the evening before, April 29. Stay tuned with ways to participate in this statewide Arts Advocacy Day.
