This Sunday, December 19, is the last day of the 2021 Baltimore Famers' Market & Bazaar and we've decided to end the season with a celebration! Come down to the market from 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, and enjoy carolers, a turkey giveaway, treats from Santa, an ugly sweater contest, and more! Celebrate Christmas in a Queer & Sacred Space
Celebrate Christmas in a queer and sacred space on Friday, December 17, at 6:00 p.m. at SOJOURN: A Queer Christmas Pageant and enjoy an immersive, participative, hilarious retelling of the Christmas story. After the Pageant, there will be festive warm drinks and cookies out on the porch. All genders, all ages, all faiths or no faith are welcome. The SNF Parkway Theatre is delighted to welcome the team behind the new documentary The Conductor home to Baltimore for a celebratory screening after their successful festival run. The screening is on Friday, December 17, at 6:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a musical performance by the vibrant Triple Threat Brass Band formed out of members of OrchKids. THE BLACK GENIUS ART SHOW
Grand Opening of Genius Guice Studios
Bryan Robinson of the Black Genius Art Show invites the world to the grand opening of Genius Guice Studios, a brick-and-mortar home to his hybrid gallery of original art, garments, collaborations and immersive experiences on Saturday, December 18, from 1:004:00 p.m. Robinson is among the first cohort of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore’s Black-Owned Occupancy Storefront (BOOST) program, created to support the long-term success of creative, Black-owned Baltimore businesses in Downtown storefronts. PARTICIPATE IN LA POSADA
¡Todos Están Invitados!
The word posada means "shelter" or “inn” in Spanish. The tradition of the Posada recreates the Bible story of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem and their search for a place to stay. On Saturday, December 18, from 5:008:00 p.m., the community is invited to join a singing, candle-lit procession through the streets of Highlandtown starting at Creative Alliance and stopping by local businesses until arriving at Our Lady of Pompei Church. The night ends with a fiesta, traditional food to go, performances, raffles, and piñata breaking to celebrate that all of us are welcome here.
