Annual Town Election Results

The big news in this election was the vote on Question 1, which passed by 3,363 yes to 2,750 no.

Question 1 was about action taken during the 2021 Special Town Meeting that limits the use of outdoor landscape equipment and eventually prohibits gas powered leaf blowers. For details on the question, visit LexingtonMA.gov/Question1.

Voters also elected Town Meeting members. See the full election results by precinct.

Board of Health Votes to end Lexington Indoor Mask Mandate

The Lexington Board of Health has lifted the town-wide indoor mask mandate. The Town no longer requires masks in indoor public spaces. This includes schools and school busses.

Individual businesses, places of worship or venues have the right to require patrons to wear a mask in their facility if they so choose.

The State Mask Mandate is still in effect, requiring masks to be worn in most transportation and healthcare settings. See the State Mask Mandate.
