Women's Spiritual Formation Group
New Book! New Time!
Please consider joining this wonderful group of women as we explore Earth – Our Original Monastery, cultivating Wonder and Gratitude through Intimacy with Nature, by Christine Valters Paintner. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Friendship Room from 8:30-10:00 am. For more info, contact Debbie Hickson or (760)-533-2808.
New Curate/Assistant Rector Hired!
Starting August 7
Sadly, Deacon Heather’s time with us as curate will end June 4th (watch for celebration notices). However, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve been asked to welcome in another curate. Because the Rev. Dawn Stary will be ordained to the priesthood in August, and the diocese is covering a portion of her full-time compensation for the first year, her title will be: “Assistant Rector”. Having felt called to serve the church from a young age, Dawn has lived that out through social justice work and works of mercy. Before seminary, she worked with refugees and asylum seekers in San Diego County as a mental health clinician and a Children, Youth, and Family Minister. She will complete her Master’s of Divinity at Sewanee's School of Theology in May, and is thrilled to be joining us! Dawn loves baseball, reading, her cat, and most of all, her family and friends, especially her spouse Simeon and her child Declan.
World Labyrinth Day
Saturday, May 6
Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. Many “Walk as One at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next. Although we won’t have an organized gathering, you are welcome to walk at your leisure.

Interested in Men’s Bible Study?
Respond Soon!
We're exploring the idea of starting a Men's Bible Study group. Meeting times, and whether the group will gather in-person or via Zoom, will depend on your input. If you're interested in learning more or participating, please email Deacon Pete.
Deep Dive Book Group
Every Wednesday, 7pm via Zoom
Next week, the Deep Dive Book Group will be studying Ch. 6 of "This Risen existence: The Spirit of Easter." In the book, Paula Gooder leads us on a biblical exploration of the resurrection accounts in each of the Gospels and in Paul’s writings, as well as the account of the Ascension and coming of the Spirit at Pentecost in Acts. Join us on an exciting journey of discovery through the New Testament narratives in a quest to discover what resurrection tells us about life after death, the end times, and what it actually means to be a Christian. Click here to purchase the book. Join the Zoom here.
Paper Egg Cartons Needed!
The Food Pantry is in need of paper egg cartons. Please bring your leftover cartons to church and place them in the Food Pantry cart in the Narthex.
Thank You!
