OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

THE BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW
CONGRATULATES THE GRADUATES OF 2021
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is the Episcopal Church Men’s Group charged with bringing Christ to men and youth. We men of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew Chapter of Christ Church Parish congratulate you 2021 Seniors, and our hopes and prayers are with you all as you go forward into adulthood and the future.

We have presented you with a Bible, the New Living Translation (NLT), which you are familiar with in the youth program at Christ Church. As you open it, there are three printed plates inside:
• The first includes the logo of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Christ Church Parish, Pensacola, Florida — to recall your Church and this special Christian community.
• The second is with your name — by it recall who you are...a beloved child of God.
• The third plate includes an applicable scriptural reference — 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.” (NRSV)

The Bible is indeed the greatest book every published. It contains the great wisdom of the Old Testament and the faith, hope, and love of God through Jesus Christ in the New Testament. May you refer to it often as you grow through your life experiences ahead. — The Brotherhood of St. Andrew
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY CHAPEL

We are continuing to have Children’s Chapel during the summer months. Each week we will have a lesson, refreshments, and a creative activity of some type. You may drop your children off at the entrance to the Parish Hall and pick them up there after the 10:30 service. The Chronicle will have information if this changes. **Please note: no sign-up required any longer**
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE IN THE CHURCH
As Fr. Michael has discussed, we are all excited to be making a return towards normal worship services. With that in mind, please take a look at the link here that details some of the ways to serve in helping with those services. If you are interested in any of these ministries, please sign up and we will follow up with more details!
BE PART OF THE ACOLYTE CORPS!
Calling all 6th through 12th graders (and adults too!) — come be part of the acolyte corps! As a Christ Church acolyte, you join the ranks of individuals who have helped and served in worship since 250AD. An acolyte is a “companion” or “one who helps,” and as an acolyte you are an important individual that makes Sunday worship possible. From serving as a crucifer and bearing the cross of Christ in and out of worship, or a torch bearer and shining the light of Christ to the world, or a server who helps the clergy prepare the Lord’s Table, there are many ways to be an active part in the service.

There are acolyte opportunities at the 8 AM and 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist services as well as special worship services throughout the year. To be an acolyte, please sign up and a training will be held in the near future. If you have served as an acolyte in the past, please reach out to Jean Karadin to express interest in getting involved now. Be part of the acolyte corps and offer your gifts of service at God’s altar!

Facing Fear with Discipleship
Sundays, beginning June 20 ~ 9:15 AM
William H. Willimon, retired Bishop of the United Methodist Church and professor of the practice of Christian Ministry at Duke Divinity School, composed a study to assess how one's faith thrived and/or floundered when faced with the challenges and our fears through the past year. He then offers ways in which faith can inspire discipleship in spite of fear. His book, Fear of the Other: No Fear in Loveuses 1 John 4:18-21 for inspiration and is the focus for discussion. Books are available through most booksellers. Dick Hooper and David Starling facilitate the sessions beginning Sunday, June 20, at 9:15 AM.
ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP

CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. We continue to support one another, especially during this pandemic. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115.
