Government of New Brunswick Announces Support For Small Business
|
|
The Government of New Brunswick announced additional relief for small businesses impacted by COVID-19 in the form of a non-repayable grant. This announcement comes after a change in restrictions across the province due to a recent increase in cases of COVID-19.
Through Opportunities New Brunswick, the province said these grants of up to $5,000 will be available for small businesses that have been subject to orange or red alert level measures for at least one week between Oct. 10, 2020, and March 31, 2021.

Province Introduces Business Navigator Program

Prince Edward Island’s Government has introduced a business navigator program. The intent of the program is to help guide businesses through the regulatory processes of entrepreneurship. This program is a good step in beginning to remove potential barriers from entrepreneurs and helping them move forward on a path to success. Click here for more information.

Province Introduces Additional Relief Funding For Businesses Located in Areas Impacted by Covid-19 Public Health Directives
|
|
For eligible businesses in the Halifax and Hants County area, there is a new relief program introduced called the “The Small Business Impact Grant Part 2 – Restaurant, Bar, and Fitness Facility & Leisure Establishment Stream.” The new program will support businesses that were ordered to close or reduce operations under public health directives in effect from 26 November 2020. The program provides a grant of up to $5,000 to help cover operating expenses. The deadline for applications is 31 January 2021

The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce along with ten chambers of commerce and boards of trade with airports in their area are now calling upon the Government of Canada to provide support and leadership to ensure that Atlantic Canadians are not permanently severed from the rest of Canada due to the significantly impaired operations of national airlines and the airports serving our region.
