A Message from the Principal
December 6, 2021
Parents and Guardians,

Each semester seems to go by faster and faster, and this year is no exception! With just over a week and a half to go, it is difficult to believe that Semester Exams begin one week from today. In order to spread out the exams, students will take two tests each day over the final four days of the semester. You can find our Fall Semester Exam Schedule below.
Each of the Final Exam days next week are half days for LHS students. Students are released for lunch at 12:00, and lunch will be served in the LHS Cafeteria until 12:30 PM. Bus routes will begin at 12:30 pm, EXCEPT on Thursday when they will run at 1:00 pm like a regular Early Release Day. Students who have their own transportation will be able to leave when lunch begins at 12:00 p.m.

If your student needs a VOE for their driver's license renewal or driver's permit, or if they need a transcript, please have them take care of this week if possible.
I hope you have a great week.

Sincerely,

Chris Mayfield
Principal
Lovejoy High School

Lovejoy ISD has implemented the use of School Messenger to notify parents when students are absent from class. Messages will be sent via phone call each evening. If you have already contacted the Attendance Office regarding the absence, you may ignore the call. As always, you may view your student’s daily attendance in the Parent Portal to verify if the absence has already been documented. The District is committed to joining forces with parents to ensure timely communication is provided to assist with your student’s safety and school experience.
