Getting a Local Perspective

We’ve talked about border security from a national perspective (U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw), state perspective (TX State Sen. Birdwell) and this week, you will hear a local perspective from Kinney County (Brackettville) Texas. 

Because of the failure of the Biden Administration to control our borders, communities along the Southern Border are bearing a heavy burden. Local law enforcement has to take on the additional responsibilities of dealing with illegal migrants (including children), property crime and even the deaths of migrants that occur in their jurisdictions. We are going to be hearing from a couple of the officials on the frontline this week.

Guests include: Brad Coe, Sheriff of Kinney County and former Border Patrol Officer and Brent Smith, Kinney County Attorney. 

Also joining the call will be Kelly Perry, SREC SD 19 subcommittee chair for Border Security; DD TFRW; and National Border Advisor for Moms for America. She'll be updating us on the grassroots work that is being done to help and how everyone can get involved.

Join us to hear the, often tragic, story of the illegal immigration crisis and how our Texas communities are attempting to cope. I also look forward to hearing their thoughts on what the government, and all of us, can do to help.

RNC Community Center Election Kickoff!

July 7th in Edinburg, TX

I am excited to be joining some amazing patriots next week in the Rio Grande Valley to celebrate the 2024 Election Kickoff at the Victory Center in Edinburg, Texas. Republicans have made incredible inroads in the valley. Starting with President Trump's campaign in 202o and carrying right through 2022, the Republican surge in South Texas was national news. But while the pundits may have been shocked it certainly wasn't news to those of us who have been working in these communities for decades. Hispanics and Latinos have been some of the most conservative and patriotic Americans in our state. Border communities are on the front line of the fight to secure our borders. Engagement from our candidates and grassroots activism finally began to break through the Democrat machines that had a grip on these areas for far too long. And we are committed to keeping the momentum going and building on these hard earned gains. The victory center that I will be at next is just one example of the commitment that Republicans are investing in South Texas. I hope you will join us if you are able to kickoff what will be another historic election in the Rio Grande Valley. 

“Bidenomics” is Failing

Failed "Bidenomics" is destroying the ability of millions of citizens to reach the American Dream.

What you need to know:

• “Bidenomics” is maybe the worst political slogan to come out of Washington since Biden threatened to “finish the job.”
• "Bidenomics” is failing. Under Biden, savings are down,  real wages are down, and economic confidence is down.
• Two years ago, Biden and his administration promised inflation would be "temporary." 
• Americans have lost over $10,000 on average paying for the increased cost of living since Biden took office.  
• In a new NBC poll, 74% of Americans believe things in this country are headed in the wrong direction with only 20% of Americans believing we are headed in the right direction.
• This week, the Biden administration said Bidenomics is incredibly popular.
• Harvard CAPS-Harris poll: 74% say their financial situation is not improving, with almost half saying their financial situation is actively “getting worse” under Biden.
• NBC News Poll: 74% say the nation is on the wrong track.
• Fox News Poll: 83% rate the economic situation of the nation as negative.
• Almost 80% of Americans say Biden’s policies have not helped them, with almost half saying that Biden’s policies are actively hurting their family.
• CNN Poll: A CNN poll from May shows 66% disapprove of the economy. 
• Even within the Democrat Party, just 7 in 10 approve of the ecoconomy. 
• Biden’s speech this week forced our RNC Research fact checkers into hyperdrive to counter Biden’s lies, spin, and half-truths on the economy.

The bottom line:
