This week is Holiday Spirit Week! 
On Monday, wear an ugly sweater! Tuesday you can wear flannels and fuzzy socks or slippers. On Wednesday we'll be welcoming our friends from Willenberg Special Education Center, so all Panthers are encouraged to wear any holiday gear you'd like. Thursday is Winter Wonderland, so wear white! And on Friday, our panther family will be wearing PJ's to school!

Attention Parents and Students - Off campus passes
Students leaving campus during the school day. Students must get an OFF CAMPUS Pass BEFORE leaving campus. Students who fail to check out through the attendance office prior to leaving campus for any reason will receive a CUT. This includes 18 year olds.  If your student must leave campus you can call (310)377-4888 ext 42681 or 42682 to let the attendance clerks know your student needs to leave.   
 
In order to keep all students safe, Security will not let any students leave without the OFF CAMPUS Pass from the Attendance office. 
CAPITOL CONVOY 2022 is coming! 
Do you want to be heard? Are you interested in learning more about how California government works? Be part of a team of students, parents, teachers and staff who will be discussing advocacy points with state legislators.  PVPHS's Capitol Convoy goes to Sacramento in March 2022. To learn all about it, please come to the information meeting on Tuesday, December 7th during lunch (12:15-12:45pm) in Ms. Dibble’s room (P103). Applications go live at the end of the month. Any questions? Please contact Mrs. Beth Stallkamp at [email protected] 
Pep Squad Holiday Showcase 
Come out and support the PVPHS Cheer, Song and Pep Flag program on Wednesday Dec 8th at Peninusla HS Main Gym. Each group will be showcasing various dances and stunts as well as a few new routines and Holiday flair! Tickets can be purchased by any team member $10 for adult $5 for student/child or at the door starting at 5:30pm. Show starts at 6pm. Kick off you holiday cheer with us! 

SENIORS - LAST DAY FOR CAP AND GOWN ORDERS
Last day to turn in order forms and payment in person to a Herff Jones rep is Thursday Dec 9th during LUNCH! They will collect order forms for Graduation Gowns, Announcements, Class Rings and Letterman jackets. If you miss this date, you can send in your order or simply order online at www.moongradservices.com 
Please join us for our monthly virtual coffee chat with the PTSA Board! The coffee chats are an informal way to bring the Panther community together to discuss ideas and address concerns. Although we have a monthly theme, the chat sessions are not limited to just that topic! 
Attention Students: 
SoCal ROC Spring semester schedules are now available in the counseling office! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills that prepare you for an entry-level career. Courses are after school and FREE for high school students! Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available to answer any questions and assist with SoCal ROC class enrollment in the counseling office every Tuesday morning. Add your name to the sign up sheet in the counseling office to meet with her ASAP!

The annual concert performed by Pen's choir to celebrate the holiday season is almost here. The performances are Friday, December 10 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 11 at 5 PM and 7:30 PM at Rolling Hills United Methodist Church. Food Drive Update and Thank you for Service Learning Leadership  
Thank you Pen Family for showing up in a HUGE way for our food drive this year!!! We are blown away by our record year of over 9,200 items! This is a biggest food drive Peninsula has ever hosted. Thank you for supporting the drive and making sure families in need are able to have some extra support this holiday season. We will be making donation deliveries throughout this holiday season to local food banks and food distribution efforts. We appreciate all donations and support from students, teachers, staff and parents. An extra special shoutout to the teachers and classes with the top three collection counts: Mr. Chou, Mr. Bird and Ms. Blazevic. Your efforts put the drive over the top in the best way possible. Awesome job Peninsula Panthers!

Program change requests are now being accepted for second semester. Students who need to request a level change, or drop a class for second semester, can pick up the appropriate form in the Counseling Office. Please see the information below and reach out to your school counselor with any questions/concerns. Thank you. 

WITHDRAW/LEVEL CHANGE DATES FOR 2021-2022 
Voluntary Drop/Level Change: Initiated by student or parent 
 
DROP/LEVEL CHANGE* 
If request occurs on or before Friday, February 18th, there will be no record of the class on the transcript. 
 
WITHDRAW 
If withdraw occurs from February 21st –March 18th, a grade of W will be recorded on the transcript. 
 
WITHDRAW “F” 
If withdraw occurs from March 21st –June 9th, an “F” will be recorded on transcript, regardless of academic grade. 
 
*Please Note: Level changes are based on space availability and are not guaranteed

COVID testing sites will be open December 20-22 and December 27-29, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. with last test at 2:45 p.m. For more information about testing, please visit: www.pvpusd.net/testing/ 

Parents/Guardians please register your student(s) before you arrive at a testing site.  
 
How do I register?

Do I need to register for each site listed?  
No, one registration required per person not per site. Also, one registration is good for the year. You do not need to re-register. 
  
What am I required to bring to the testing site?  
Students will be required to show a school/district issued ID.  
  
If your student does not have an ID, please provide a screenshot/printout of your student's Aeries demographics page showing student is active. To expedite the testing process, please have this information readily available once you arrive. Staff does not have access to Aeries to verify the student's status. 
  
How do I make a testing appointment?  
We do not accept appointments. Testing will be conducted on a first come, first served basis. 
 
What age group do you test?  
Ages 4+ can test. 
  
What type of test do you offer?  
This is a self-swabbing rapid antigen test.
