Dear Jefferson Families,
On behalf of the PTA Board, I would like to welcome you all to the 2022-2023 school year. My name is Gloria Macri and I am honored to be your PTA President for the second consecutive year.
We start the new school year full of optimism and energy. After two years in which all of our programs and events have been significantly impacted by the pandemic, we are hopeful that this year is THE ONE! This is the year when we go back to normal. I am proud to say that, during the pandemic years, the PTA has made huge efforts to navigate the uncertainty. We worked tirelessly to keep our programs and events going, even if that meant we had to re-think the entire program/event in record time. But every cloud has a silver lining. We are now more creative and resilient, we have more patience, and we are stronger. Stronger together indeed!
This year, we will continue to successfully work with the school and the District to help foster a safe and engaging year of learning and growing for our children. Each year, the PTA supports school-specific programs such as field trips, assemblies, family events, Hands on Art with volunteer docents and classroom grants.
We can make a positive impact in the lives of children and families only with your support! Here are some ways in which you can help:

Become a member! You belong in the PTA. A membership costs only 15$/person and our goal is to have 100% participation of our teachers and families. Memberships are 100% tax deductible and members can vote in our General Association meetings.

Donate! Please consider making a donation to the PTA. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

Volunteer to help support our programs and initiatives! No amount of money in the world can make our programs and events successful without the help of our amazing volunteers. From room parents, to program and event chairs and volunteers, to board members, there is something for everyone to do, no matter how much (or little) time you have available.

Stay Connected! Keep up-to-date with everything happening in the school by signing up to receive our weekly newsletter Dolphin Did You Know (DDYK), by following us on our social media channels, and also by attending the PTA Association Meetings. Please save the date for our first Association meeting on September 13 at 8:00AM.
Apart from supporting the PTA, please consider making an investment in the students of Redondo Beach during the RBEF Investor Drive (Sep 6–23). The PTA and RBEF have an excellent collaboration and we are always working together to support our children grow into well-rounded and successful students.
