Cheshbon HaNefesh Weekly Learning on Zoom
As a part of Elul preparation, the month before the High Holidays, our tradition calls on us to engage in Cheshbon Hanefesh, “Soul Accounting” on three levels of relationship. Join teachers each week to explore one of those levels in depth.

Join the TBZ community for an evening of preparing our hearts and souls to do the work of teshuva (returning) we are called to do during the High Holiday season. 

6:00pm From Pain to Purpose: An Intimate Conversation Between Clementina Chery and Rabbi Suzanne Offit
Chaplain Clementina Chery is the co-founder and CEO of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, home of the annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace in which TBZ participates. TBZ membmer Rabbi Suzanne Offit is a Board Certified Chaplain who works closely with patients and families in times of crisis offering support, calm, hope and a safe space for reflection and transformation.
7:00pm Seudah Shlsihit: The 3rd Meal of Shabbat. Continue the conversation with Rabbi Suzanne, Chaplain Clementina, or discuss with other TBZ members over a small meal. Please register HERE.

Perfect American Jews weren’t supposed to have miserable marriages, secret divorces, estranged brothers, an abandoned child, alcohol problems, etc. Her mother’s kitchen was kosher but she secretly fed Pogrebin bacon for her health. When Pogrebin learned her parents’ biggest secret about their prior lives — it shook her world.
