Amongst all the excitement for Casa America is sadness. Unfortunately, Peru is entering into the second wave of the coronavirus. Yesterday, the President announced a probable new quarantine starting February 1st.

Even with a vaccination on the horizon from China, which hasn't made it into circulation yet, the people of Flores de Villa are preparing to hunker down once again.

Sadly, our dear friend Carmen Poma left this earth on December 31st to be with her Heavenly Father; this photo was taken just days before her passing. She quietly passed into His presence in the middle of the night. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

Please pray for her girls, Angelly, Carmen Rosa, Esteyssi, and Dayelly during this difficult time. Carmen's faithfulness, persistence, resilience, and dedication to Jesus and her daughters was admirable throughout her debilitating illness. When one sat by her bedside, you would never hear complaints or pessimism; she was always full of laughter and hope in her Savior.
