The Bistro at La Tourelle
Last week, we celebrated The Bistro at La Tourelle moving into the former John Thomas Steakhouse Farmhouse with a ribbon-cutting. Visitors and locals may now enjoy their breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch in three separate dining rooms and the covered deck. Congratulations on your new location!

Informational COVID-19 Posters For Your Business or Building re: "Mask Use" Policies

The Tompkins County Health Department has released a new series of informational signs which will help display your business' preference around mask-use (whether or not masks are still required in your building). Please consider printing one of these signs to replace or add to the current posters you may have in your storefront or building.

OJT Grants Available
The Chamber has On-the-Job Training Grant opportunities through a United States Department of Labor funding award to the Healthy Workforce Consortium. This funding is intended to support people in recovery receiving educational and training supports, new or expanded job opportunities, and maintaining a recovery friendly employer base in Tompkins County. Funds can support new hires and promotion of existing employees.

NYS Launches Round XI CFA Application
Round XI Will Award More Than $750 Million Across All 10 REDC Regions to Build Back Better in a Post-COVID Economic Recovery
Last week Governor Andrew M. Cuomo launched Round XI of the Regional Economic Development Council initiative, officially kicking off a new decade of economic development in a post-pandemic recovery. The 2021 funding round includes more than $750 million in state economic development resources. The Consolidated Funding Application will open on May 10, enabling businesses, municipalities, not-for-profits and the public to begin applying for assistance from dozens of state programs for job-creation and community development projects.

Dine & Donate event kicks off June 1!
Taste of the Finger Lakes hosts a community wide fundraising campaign asking individuals and families to consider visiting one, or many, of their partnering food and beveragebusinesses for pick-up, dine-in or delivery, and making a donation to help support the fight against hunger. 100% of proceeds stay in our community.

Live music returns to the Cider House!
Starting Memorial Day weekend the Cider House will have music all summer long, featuring shows with wide ranging musical styles. Hang late into the evening to eat, drink, and be merry.
These shows will be hosted outdoors with plenty of room to spread out and roam, enjoy the fire pits, eat sourdough pizza, and experience so much delicious cider and farm to table eats. They will have options for shade, rain, gluten free, vegan, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and more!

Restaurant Return-To-Work Tax Credit
For small, independently owned restaurants within New York City or any area in New York State designated by the NYS Department of Health as either an Orange or a Red zone for at least 30 consecutive days.
New York State Biodefense Commercialization Fund
