NOTICE of Annual General Meeting
The SCSA's Annual General Meeting will take place on March 24, 2022, at the AGT Lounge of Mosaic Stadium in Regina, 12 noon to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The keynote speaker will be Greg Tuer, Deputy Minister from the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety.

NHSA Designation Exams Open

The National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA) is a new national accreditation standard. Exams can be booked for either remote proctoring or in person at SaskPolytech test centres in Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon or Prince Albert.

NHSAs are viewed as a valuable resource in administrating and implementing health and safety management systems. Current and previous students can contact SCSA Program Services to ensure eligibility to write the exam.

The Constructing Safety Leadership Conference takes place online on Wednesday, April 27.

This one-day event will focus on Building A Resilient Future with sessions including a mental health keynote address, legal trends, facilitated networking, a safety innovation forum and a tech demonstration. Attendees will learn from experts on issues facing the construction industry, emerging technology and current trends in safety excellence.

The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) is a non-profit organization funded by the construction industry to provide cost-effective, accessible safety training, programs and advice. Established in 1995, the SCSA remains committed to injury prevention. By aiming to reduce the human and financial cost of injuries, the SCSA supports a safe, healthy and profitable industry.    

The SCSA serves over 14,000 companies registered with the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and categorized under the CLASS B – BUILDING CONSTRUCTION rate code. Companies in residential, commercial and industrial construction, as well as construction trades, become automatic members of the SCSA.

The vision of the SCSA is to create the Safest Construction Environment in Canada through its mission of Constructing Safety Leadership.
