Join us for a virtual conversation with Michelle Duster on the legacy of her great-grandmother Ida B. Wells for Black History Month.

Duster is a champion of racial and gender equity whose advocacy has led to the creation of public history projects celebrating the achievements of women and African Americans. Her latest book, "Ida B. the Queen: The Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells,” was released on Jan. 26, 2021.

Time of Remembrance Virtual Field Trip Tour
Feb. 1 - March 26, 2021
This online field trip tour brings a pivotal chapter of history to life for distance learning students through the first-hand accounts of Japanese American docents who experienced life behind barbed wire during WWII.​

Includes a recorded video tour of “Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII” led by survivors of the incarceration, followed by a 30-minute live Zoom session with a docent, plus lesson plans, digital artifact kit and follow-up activities related to current issues. Aligned with 5th, 8th and 11th grade History-Social Science and Common Core ELA.

Flat fee of $125 for up to 100 participants.
California's Journey Virtual Tour

Ideal for 3rd-9th grade students, this virtual program features a video tour and digital artifact kit, followed by a Zoom-based presentation on a variety of Gold Rush stories and a post-tour oral history project.

Designed to increase engagement in democracy, this tour for 3rd-12th grade students features an overview of activism in California through a video tour, Zoom presentation and post-tour project.
