I hope you were able to visit the City’s first Fall Festival, held October 1 & 2nd. There was an amazing turnout and the Chamber was present all weekend. We sponsored a beer tent Friday evening and most of the day on Saturday. A big shout out to Dan Sage for organizing and coordinating the staffing of the event. Proceeds will support the Chamber Scholarship Fund.
Also, on Saturday, October 2nd and as part of the Fall Festival, the Big Creek Run was held. It was a beautiful fall morning and Mayor Castelli kicked off the BCR with 64 runners and 12 walking participants. Net proceeds of this event will be distributed among six different charitable organizations serving the Middleburg Heights community. A special thank you to the Recreation Department, Service Department, Police, and Fire Departments for helping us during the Race. Here are a few photos.
I also want to take a moment to announce that our Executive Director, Cindy Peck, retired as of October 1st. We all wish Cindy good health, happy retirement, and thank her for a job well done!
Let's welcome our new Executive Director, Claudia Motiu. She is a Middleburg Heights resident and former Chamber of Commerce board member. She is experienced in business outreach and event planning. You will be seeing Claudia at our meetings and events in the upcoming weeks and months.
