Easton Out Loud - Halloween
Easton Out Loud will be back Downtown on Friday for Trick or Treat! Adults, kids, and pets are encourage to dress up in their best costumes. Make sure to visit downtown businesses participating in Trick or Treat.

There will be no live music in Centre Square this month.

Spooky Science
What lurks in the dark? See it with an infrared camera, which will be demonstrated. Halloween items will be used to learn about chemical and physical changes with experiments. Science on a Sphere will be Halloween themed, and of course there will be candy for visitors.

Campfire Night
For the last outside event of the year, Two Rivers Brewing is closing down Sixth Street and bringing out some fire pits to enjoy this Fall weather with beer and cigars provided by Famous Smoke Shop! They're also releasing a special Big Easy Easton Brass Brown Ale, with a performance by the band!

BEEB Halloween Parade & Thriller Dance

Eerie Easton Walking Tours
Join the Sigal Museum and NCHGS for Eerie Easton Walking Tours every Friday and Saturday in October.

From a murder in the first well in town to the witches of Hexenkopf Hill, Easton’s history is filled with dark tales of restless Revolutionary War spirits, strange coincidences (or are they?), and disastrous journeys. Pre-registration is required.

Sock Hop for Safe Harbor
The number one requested clothing item in shelters is SOCKS. With colder weather on the way socks are incredibly important. Every Saturday in October, EFM will collect new sock donations at each Info Tent. The goal is to collect 200 pairs of socks for Safe Harbor’s residents and drop-ins. (You can also donate undergarments in any size for any gender.) Let’s make some happy feet this October!

Easton Book Festival
Easton Book Festival is going hybrid this year with a mix of in-person and online events. Join them this weekend at various locations in Easton or enjoy online panel discussions, author interviews, story hours and puppet shows all week on Zoom and Facebook. The event will run from Oct. 16 - 24.

Russian Art Comes to Easton
Visit Gallery on Fourth for their autumn exhibition IGOR GALANIN & TATIANA LARIONOVA: AN OCEAN BETWEEN US. The exhibition features 15 acrylic paintings and giclee prints by Igor (a US citizen since 1983) and 13 watercolor paintings by his sister-in-law Tatiana, who still lives in Russia. This is the first time their work has been exhibited side-by-side. All artworks are for sale.

Easton Scarecrows
The Easton Business Association's annual event is a walking tour of scarecrows in the Downtown, West Ward, South Side and College Hill business communities. This October, take a stroll through the neighborhoods and see if you can find all 31! If you share a photo to Instagram using #EastonScarecrows you will be entered to win a $25 gift card to a local business every week.

The Easton Main Street Initiative is looking to fill several volunteer positions on our Design Committee. Duties include collaborating with the City of Easton on aesthetic projects; activating public spaces with lighting, art wall poems and more; facilitating facade grant programs and more. Volunteers must be available for monthly meetings.

To ensure Easton’s ability to keep the Peace Candle aglow this season, EMSI will once again offer the “Light a Night” fundraiser which allows individuals, businesses or organizations to sponsor a night of the Peace Candle’s glow for a $30 donation. Your support allows you to memorialize a loved one, send a holiday greeting, promote your business or even wish someone a happy birthday or anniversary. Sponsorship greetings are published online, on signage posted in Centre Square, and on our Facebook page. Dates available for sponsorship are between November 27, 2021 and January 18, 2022.
