MESSAGE FROM FR. QUAN

Hello everybody!

As we know, Fr. Jeff is officially beginning his new position as the Vicar General on July 1. We ask the Holy Spirit to always provide the grace, wisdom and peace he will need to carry out this role in service to God and his Church in the Archdiocese. Today, June 27, 2023, Pope Francis has appointed Archbishop Shelton as the temporary Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Knoxville while he remains Archbishop of Louisville. In the support of him, Fr. Jeff is going with Archbishop Shelton out of the Archdiocese from June 26 to 29. Please pray for blessings on them in all the services they provide throughout our Archdiocese and the Diocese of Knoxville.

This past Sunday, we celebrated Tim Grove's years of service at the 11:00 a.m. Mass. We had a special blessing for him who has been an amazing gift to our community. We are also thankful to Tammy Kessler for her willingness to move into Tim's position. She has been a creative force and an incredible developer of children's faith formation in recent years. We look forward to the many gifts she will be transitioning to our Adult Faith Formation ministry. We are grateful to Joanie Hendricks who will be our Director of Children's Faith Formation, replacing Tammy Kessler. Joanie has been a catechist in our PREP program this year, teaching Kindergarten/First grade. She has also been a member of the Preschool staff serving in the role of Teacher's Aide since November.

Also, Birgit Zepf, who has been working with our Youth Ministry as an Associate Youth Minister in recent years, will be a full-time position and she will be providing ministry administrative support beginning July 1. Finally, Erin Wernert will be joining our team of live streamers beginning this fall. We are looking forward to have her assisting us in this valuable ministry. I express my gratitude for their willingness and love to join our ministries of St. Pats. Their gifts and sacrifice are very much appreciated and valued by our parish faith community. May God who calls them to these noble tasks of serving the parish on its ministries continue to inspire their faithful service.

Peace,

Fr. Quan
