Welcome to this month's Caring Palms Healing Arts newsletter. This month, we have some news and an article for you. A new classes have been added to the month of March.

Finally, Answers
There is finally a definite timetable for sessions and moving locations, with still an open-ended detail here or there.
Caring Palms must be out of the current office by May 30th.
Therefore, we will stop doing sessions April 30th, and spend the entire month of May clearing out.
After April, oiled massages (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Freeform, etc.) will no longer be offered. The primary focus will be energy work (Reiki, White Light, Trance Healing, etc.), Mediumship, Meditation, Myofascial Release (MFR), and classes. And while MFR is massage in a way, it is still something I will continue to do as it does not take as much effort, so it is something I can continue to do.
So please, if you have massage gift certificates, get in and use them before the end of April. After that, they will be good for MFR, or Reiki only.
The May Reiki classes will happen at the current studio as scheduled. We may be sitting in an empty room on the floor, but the classes will happen.
Right now, I have not been able to find an affordable place to move to, but am actively searching. I am trying to stay in Jax Beach. There are places available in Sawgrass and the Southside, but I feel I need to stay close to the people that have been coming in for years.
Once a place has been located, and an opening date has been set, it will be announced here and on the website first.

Brian Finished Classes
Over the month of January, Brian has been talking classes in mediumship and its assorted variations. Eamonn Downey managed to come over from England this year amid all the Covid outbreaks. He brought with him some new techniques, showing students how to get deeper into the “zone”. The Master Mediumship class in Vero Beach displayed this new technique, and students were connecting to the energies to do healing and trance work to a group of people individually or as a group.
The next weekend was the Trance class (through Zoom) where he had students build on the techniques to do trance speaking and healing. The following weekend was strictly evidential mediumship in Orlando. This taught the students to connect to that deeper level and connect to spirit for the purposes connecting people to loved ones on the other side.
Brian enjoyed these classes a lot, and learned a tremendous amount from them. He has started applying the energy techniques in healing sessions, and looks forward doing more sessions of mediumship and energy work using these methods as a starting point.

Change

Let’s talk change. And no, I’m not talking about that quarter you get back on your $5 cup of coffee. I’m talking change in you and around you, change forced, and change manifested.
Change is a must, in fact a constant. Nothing stays the same. If it does, it rots. That is why we are constantly moving, and that move is hopefully forward.
The environment around us changes, and we have to learn to change with it, to accept, to adapt, to attune, to become in harmony with. Sometimes this type of change can seem bad, but if we accept and allow, then we merge with the change much faster and easier.
Other times, we desire change, so we make it happen. We set a goal, and we move to make that goal a reality. Other times we move to change ourselves, our reactions to things, and we do this through meditation. We go into our internal “engine room” and change some settings, adjust dials and switches until we get the right mix for who and what we want to be.
Other times change is forced upon us, and this is where I feel I am most of the time. I usually tend to avoid change until it comes up and kicks me in the backside.
We lived in Maryland many years ago. We had a nice house, with a really nice garden, and some fruit trees. Over time, the peach tree developed a blight, and as soon as the fruit became ripe, it went bad. There were two apple trees that got knocked over by wind storms. These were all signs, not that we noticed them as such.
But not long after that, the company I worked for went out of business, and my wife’s company moved to Jacksonville. So, we were being forced to make a change, and little did I know that spirit had a big hand in this. You see, it was here in Florida that I dramatically grew from the energy worker I was then to what I am today. I learned Reiki, other psychic development things, mediumship, massage. Yes, this is what spirit had in mind for me, even if I did not know it.
In 2003, I got laid off of my day job. That could have been the disastrous thing that it implies, but again, it was spirit telling me that it is time to get out there and practice the things I have learned, to stretch my legs and learn to run.
Now a new change is coming. And while it seems this changed is something I am instigating, I’m sure spirit has their hands in there somehow. Yet while I am concerned about the business surviving the change in focus, I accept that this change is necessary, and that it will be good. After all, it feels like I will be able to do more of spirit’s work, more directly with the energies (not that spirit doesn’t have a hand in every healing session now, but it feels more direct).
So, I look forward to continued growth, and I hope you are looking forward to it with me

Lately, it has been these reviews that have been bringing new clients into the studio, and all have been glad they found us.
Anyone leaving a review will be entered into the monthly drawing to win a free session (massage or Reiki). Reviews made between the first and last day of each month will go into the drawing, and the winner will be pulled on the first of every month. Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

Guided Meditation CDs Available In-House and Online
The first three guided meditations are now available. We have a small inventory in-house). When these have been sold, we will replenish them (replenishment takes about 10 days). These meditations are also available online as CDs or MP3s and can be purchased through the Meditations Page. If you are looking for a safe meditative journey to relax or work, come see us, or purchase one (or all three) online. Available meditations include, Finding Sanctuary, Working Through Past Experiences, and Visiting With Your Guides. We are hoping to have the other three available within a few months.
Currently, the links to purchase the Meditation CDs are not working. The site needs to see sales every six months else they get taken down. CDs are available at the studio. If you want the audio file, let me know and I will get them to you.

The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class (unless otherwise marked) currently has a status of 'Scheduled'. This means that a date has been set, but no one has signed up for it yet. Once a deposit has been received for a class, the status will be 'Confirmed'. Any class marked as 'Closed' has filled up. (Note: In some cases, one may be able to enter a class marked 'Closed' with permission of the instructor.)
Please note, a class schedule will be set for the first five months of next year. During that time, there will be several Reiki 1 classes, and one of each Reiki 2, 3, 4. The new class schedule will be available in the January newsletter.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.
Each class is limited to four people so we are not cramped.

More classes will be added once Caring Palms settles into a new location after June, and a new class location is found.
All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for. A $75 deposit is required a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the class date (or permission of the instructor) to reserve a space in the class. Full payment must be received two (2) days before the class date. Classes with no deposits received by the cut off date will be canceled. All class statuses may be viewed under Reiki, Reiki Class Information, and Class Schedule. You can also sign up for classes there. (Check the website for the location.)
Each Reiki class is Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

Caring Palms Hosts Mediumship Classes |
Currently, all of Marilyn's class are being held online through Zoom with some being in person. If you want to take a class, call her and she will tell you what you need to do.
Notice: The April class will be a live IN PERSON at the studio!! Masks will be required.
Every month, Caring Palms is host a mediumship class taught by Marilyn Jenquin of the International Foundation for Spiritual Knowledge. In this class, Marilyn teaches the British style of mediumship (this is similar to the style used by John Edward). Each class contains a lecture, a meditation, and class exercises. This is for all ranges of students from the beginner, to the long time student.
Mediumship is a method of communicating with people who are no longer in their physical body, but in the spirit world. The class teaches students to do evidential readings as exercises so they get comfortable developing a relationship with those in spirit. This class is for anyone wanting to work with spirit whether they intend to become professional mediums or simply to use it in their everyday lives.
Classes are usually scheduled the fourth Thursday of each month from 1pm to 3:30pm at the Caring Palms studio. For more information, go to the IFSK Website where you can learn more about this, check class schedules and locations, and get contact information. |

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings. If you have an interest, please contact Brian and something can be scheduled. These can also be scheduled from the website. Procedures due to the Pandemic
Because of the ongoing issue with COVID 19, there will be changes in procedures to keep everyone (client and therapist alike) safe.
- Everyone coming in will have their temperature taken by a non-touch forehead thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to come back another time.
- A new form has been added letting you know that everything possible is being done to keep the disease from spreading. Basically, it is an information disclaimer like people sign for massage or Reiki sessions.
- During the intake process, while scanning, spirit will be asked if it is safe to work on that client.
- The client will be required to wear a face mask while they are face up (supine) during the session. If you do not have a mask, a disposable one will be provided.
- Your therapist will be wearing a mask during the entire session.
- After the session, all surfaces touched will be wiped down with disinfectant, and some will be cleaned through UV light.

We have added a Hepa/UV filter in the room that will be running at all times.
These procedures will not be bypassed under any circumstances. The idea is to keep everyone safe, yet allow them to get their needed sessions.
Also, if you normally refuse to wear a mask when going about normal errands, please wait to come in. If you have been in large groups that do not wear masks, please wait to come in. If you know that you have been exposed to people that have COVID, please wait to come in until you know you do not have it. This is for our safety as well as yours.
