State Launches COVID-19 Vaccination
Pre-Registration Website
|
|
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has launched a new, centralized website that allows Virginians to easily pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine. This one-stop-shop website, vaccinate.virginia.gov, allows individuals to pre-register online, check that they are pre-registered and access additional information on Virginia’s vaccination rollout.
Virginians who have previously pre-registered through their local health district have been automatically imported into the new system and do not need to pre-register again. Data migration is continuing throughout the week and it may take several days for your name to appear in the centralized system. Everyone who has previously registered is still on the list and their status will not be affected.
VDH expects millions of unique visits to the site on Tuesday and IT teams will be addressing back-end components as needed throughout the day. Anyone who cannot get through immediately should try again.

Governor Northam will provide additional information about this hotline, in addition to the new online tools, at a press conference this week.

Meet Carwyn!
This tall, handsome fella was brought into the shelter after being found running loose. No one ever came forward to claim him so he's hoping to catch your attention and win over your heart.
Carwyn is a beautiful black and white Hound mix and he has the most adorable black spot on the top of his head.
We aren't completely sure what he is mixed with, but we can tell he is mixed with a bigger breed. He has a great temperament and we feel he would do well in a home with children.
The hound in Carwyn enjoys his time outdoors. He really likes when you go out there with him to throw the ball around.
|
|
If you like walks at the park, Carwyn would love to go with you! He wouldn't mind getting dirty on the trails as he likes hopping through puddles here at the shelter!
Do you want a pup that'll snuggle with you? Carwyn will hop right up on the couch with you! Carwyn knows sit, shake and he is potty-trained! He has met multiple dogs here and loved them all. He also appears to do okay with cats. He is 3 years old and weighs 80 pounds. Animal #595332
